About the position

The SAP (Supply Chain Systems Architect) role is focused on leading the design and governance of technology architecture within the supply chain domain. This position collaborates with senior leadership to ensure that system architecture aligns with business objectives, evaluates technology options, and drives the selection of appropriate technologies and frameworks. The architect will also analyze business requirements, design scalable system architectures, and provide strategic guidance during implementation, ensuring that all technology initiatives support competitive positioning and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Leads designing governance and standards activities for technology architecture compliance.
• Participates in hardware and software technology and product standards selection in the supply chain domain.
• Collaborates with stakeholders, including senior supply chain leadership, to ensure system architecture aligns with business objectives and long-term vision.
• Identifies organizational and financial impacts of technology architecture that supports competitive positioning and innovation.
• Drives the evaluation and selection of appropriate technologies, platforms, and frameworks for systems.
• Assesses technology industry and market trends and their impact on the enterprise.
• Evaluates technology options and advises on emerging technology investment decisions.
• Analyzes and translates business and technical requirements into scalable and efficient system designs.
• Designs and implements end-to-end system architectures that meet business requirements and maximize security, performance, and resilience.
• Defines system integration approaches and ensures interoperability of system components.
• Provides strategic guidance and support to development teams during system implementation.
• Leads technology change initiatives to deliver business outcomes.
• Oversees technology implementation and modification activities.
• Champions the documentation and communicates technology architecture design and analysis work.
• Leads the development of system architecture documentation and diagrams.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Agile Methodology for project management.
• Experience with architecture frameworks like TOGAF or Zachman Framework.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Business acumen with knowledge of the industry and marketplace.
• Experience in cloud computing and managing cloud services.
• Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on value creation.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices for integrating security in the software development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with edge computing concepts and applications.
• Functional expertise in networking, databases, cloud computing, and security.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Familiarity with Internet of Things (IoT) concepts and protocols.
• Experience in performance monitoring of systems.
• Knowledge of process orchestration and workflow management.
• Strategic outlook with a long-term perspective on organizational goals.
• Understanding of system reliability and high availability principles.
• Experience in systems design to meet business and user requirements.
