About the position

The SAP Technical Solution Architect at Accenture is responsible for architecting technology solutions during the pre-sales cycle, focusing on Application Managed Services and Professional Services for Enterprise IT Systems. This role involves collaborating with clients to co-create solutions, driving technology delivery sign-offs, and ensuring alignment with client business objectives. The position requires strong technical expertise in SAP solutions and the ability to influence key stakeholders throughout the sales process.

Responsibilities

• Architect the technology solution during the pre-sales sales cycle.
• Represent the solution in conversations with Operating Group leadership and sales team, senior client buyers, and functional owners.
• Drive necessary Technology Delivery sign-off on solutions with input from Operating Groups on client business objectives, industry, risk assessment, budget, and preferences.
• Collaborate with the Operating Group sales team and Subject Matter Experts during the sales process; communicate and collaborate with delivery organizations.
• Promote the use of standards in solutions by coordinating with Legal and Commercial and directing Corporate Development Transaction Services.
• Provide input to Terms and Conditions and be accountable for specific contractual terms and conditions when necessary.
• Work with Technology leadership to identify Point of Contact for delivery.
• Lead stabilization efforts on client deals where appropriate.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Technology Environment with a strong focus on SAP Technical (Basis/Security) managed and/or professional services solutions.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Solution Planning and Deal Shaping.
• Minimum of 1 SAP technical migration experience (ECC to ECC) OR S/4 Conversion Experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate's Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)

Nice-to-haves

• Strong technical and/or functional solutioning with expertise in other SAP ERP Components (SAP Solution Manager, SAP S/4HANA with RISE, GRC).
• Expertise/experience in Managed Services delivery for SAP ERP systems either as a client or as a client-facing delivery lead.
• Expertise/experience in Professional Services delivery for SAP ERP systems either as a client or as a client-facing delivery lead.
• Ability to give an Industry view of application portfolio rationalization/modernization/cloud transformation.
• Very good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with key stakeholders.
• Good understanding of the application and infrastructure ecosystem in terms of Products and Technologies.
• Ability to understand client business and technology drivers - business IT alignment.
• Strong capability to estimate, size, and come up with dependencies/assumptions in solutioning.
• Ability to work across levels at the client; exposure to NA geography is a good additional skill.
• Strong aptitude to be an individual contributor.
• Experience and exposure in collaborative technology solutioning including client workshops, joint solutioning sessions, and co-creation sessions.
• Expert in formulating the solution storyline, ability to collaborate in creating client value propositions, Product/Concept selling, Pre-sales/Solution Architecting, Executive Presence.
• Experience in one or two major industries (utilities/chemicals/oil-gas, consumer goods/manufacturing/retail/pharma/life sciences, comms media and technology, health and public services, financial services).
