About the position

The SAP Test Manager is responsible for establishing QA standards and procedures across a new integrated IT landscape. This role involves managing various testing activities, including system integration, functional testing, data migration, end-to-end UAT, performance, regression, and automation testing. The manager will lead geographically dispersed test teams to ensure quality SAP test outcomes and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders. Additionally, the position requires driving efficiency in QA delivery and reporting testing progress to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the establishment of QA standards and procedures across the new Integrated IT landscape
  • Manage testing activities like System integration, Functional, Data migration, End to End UAT, Performance, Regression and Automation
  • Work with SI partners and IT Support teams to develop and maintain standards, processes and documentation
  • Lead test teams spread across multiple geo-locations and offshore to successfully deliver quality SAP test outcomes
  • Develop good working relationships with all relevant stakeholders
  • Lead the QA efforts for new enhancement projects following a defined release cycle and project plan
  • Drive efficiency and effectiveness of the team, processes and tools for on-time and on-budget QA delivery
  • Report on testing progress to all stakeholders in coordination with the IT and Business PMs

Requirements

  • 10-12 years of related work experience in Quality assurance activities in large global SAP programs
  • Strong in leading testing efforts against one or more SAP modules (SAP PP, SD, MM, FI)
  • Extensive experience in managing testing initiatives on system and business processes including O2C, P2P, Manufacturing, GL
  • Experience in leading testing efforts under Activate, Agile and Waterfall models
  • Experience in implementing and leveraging SAP test automation tools like HP UFT, ALM
  • Strong in testing plan management and mitigating risks in the Quality plan, schedule, scope and approach
  • Ability to quickly react to changing project plans and coordinate with multiple vendors/stakeholders
  • Extensive experience in creating and managing testing schedules, implementation of test plans, defect management and status reporting
  • Excellent team leadership and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong in leading the efforts of internal and external QA Analysts spread globally
  • Ability to speak up to senior executive management teams where needed without fear or reservations
