The SAS Programmer Analyst position at Astyra Corporation is a contract role focused on Medicaid data solutions. The role requires expertise in SAS Enterprise Guide and visual analytics, with responsibilities including data extraction, reporting, and analytics for Care Management and Encounter Processing solutions. The position is hybrid, requiring two days a week onsite in Richmond, VA.

Responsibilities

• Identifying data sources and data elements to meet business requirements.
• Creating and supporting automated data extracts and interface processes.
• Creating extract files, reports, analytics, and dashboards.
• Modifying existing processes to meet business requirements.
• Designing, developing, and testing solutions that meet complex business requirements.
• Working with business users to understand requirements.
• Collaborating with team members and stakeholders at all levels, including external agencies and vendors.
• Managing multiple assignments concurrently and meeting important target dates.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience with SAS Enterprise Guide and visual analytics for data analysis and reporting.
• 5 years of experience with data architecture, data integration, data visualization, reporting, and process automation.
• 5 years of experience with SAS programming, R, and PL/SQL.
• 5 years of experience with Oracle, DB2, and MS SQL Server.
• 5 years of experience with ETL tools and Business Analytics tools.
• 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and testing complex solutions that meet user and agency requirements.
• 5 years of experience with Software Development Life Cycle methodologies.
• 5 years of experience in verbal and written communication with technical colleagues and business users.
• 5 years of experience providing accurate estimates of effort and duration for assignments.
• 5 years of experience creating technical documentation, including design, flow diagrams, test results, and user documentation.
• 1 year of experience working with SAS scheduler.
• 2 years of experience creating CI/CD pipelines and software build automation using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or AWS CodePipeline.
• 2 years of experience with GIT version control software and workflows.
• 5 years of experience with Data Warehousing, ETL Architecture, Business Intelligence, Data Modeling, and Data Governance.

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of experience with SAS Viya.
• 1 year of experience with SAS Administration.
• 1 year of experience with Qlik.
