About the position

The SAS Programmer Analyst will work with the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services to develop and implement SAS solutions for Medicaid. This role focuses on data conversion strategies, real-time analytics, and reporting solutions for Care Management and Encounter Processing within the Medicaid Enterprise Solution. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and the ability to manage multiple assignments effectively.

Responsibilities

• Identifying data sources and data elements to meet business requirements
• Creating and supporting automated data extracts and interface processes
• Creating extract files, reports, analytics dashboards
• Modifying existing processes to meet business requirements
• Designing, developing and testing solutions that meet complex business requirements
• Working with business users to understand requirements
• Working independently and collaboratively with other team members and stakeholders at all levels of the organization, external agencies, CMS, VITA and vendors
• Working on multiple assignments concurrently and meet important target dates

Requirements

• Expertise in SAS Enterprise Guide
• Experience with visual analytics
• Strong understanding of data conversion strategy
• Ability to design real-time analytics and reporting solutions
• Experience in working with Medicaid systems
