About the position

The SAS Programmer Analyst role at ST Global LLC involves working with Medicaid data systems to develop and implement data conversion strategies, real-time analytics, and reporting solutions. The position requires a strong background in SAS programming, data visualization, and data architecture, with a focus on meeting complex business requirements through collaboration with various stakeholders. The role is hybrid, requiring in-person attendance at the DMAS office for two days a week initially, with some flexibility thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Identifying data sources and data elements to meet business requirements
• Creating and supporting automated data extracts and interface processes
• Creating extract files, reports, and analytics dashboards
• Modifying existing processes to meet business requirements
• Designing, developing, and testing solutions that meet complex business requirements
• Working with business users to understand requirements
• Collaborating with team members and stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including external agencies and vendors
• Managing multiple assignments concurrently and meeting important target dates.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience with SAS Enterprise Guide and visual analytics for data analysis and reporting
• 5 years of experience with data architecture, data integration, data visualization, reporting, and process automation
• 5 years of experience with SAS programming, R, and PL/SQL
• 5 years of experience with Oracle, DB2, and MS SQL Server
• 5 years of experience with ETL tools and Business Analytics tools
• 5 years of demonstrated ability to design, develop, and test solutions for complex user and agency requirements
• 5 years of development experience using Software Development Life Cycle methodologies
• 5 years of experience communicating verbally and in writing with technical colleagues and business users
• 5 years of experience providing accurate estimates of effort and duration to complete assignments
• 5 years of experience creating documentation including technical design, flow diagrams, test results, and user documentation
• 1 year of experience working with SAS scheduler
• 2 years of experience creating CI/CD pipelines and software build automation in platforms like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or AWS CodePipeline
• 2 years of experience with GIT version control software and GIT workflows
• 5 years of experience with Data Warehousing, ETL Architecture, Business Intelligence, Data Modeling, and Data Governance
• 5 years of experience with Production Support and issue resolution
• 2 years of experience with MongoDB
• 1 year of experience with SAS Viya
• 1 year of experience with SAS Administration
• 1 year of experience with Qlik
• 2 years of working knowledge of JSON, XML, multi-schema files, parquet, etc.
