About the position

The SAS Programmer Analyst will be responsible for developing automated data extracts, analytics dashboards, and reporting solutions for the Medicaid Enterprise Solution (MES). This role requires expertise in SAS Enterprise Guide, visual analytics, and data conversion strategies. The position is hybrid, requiring onsite presence in Richmond, VA for the first month, with potential flexibility for remote work thereafter. The candidate will collaborate with stakeholders and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Identifying data sources and data elements to meet business requirements
• Creating and supporting automated data extracts and interface processes
• Creating extract files, reports, analytics dashboards
• Modifying existing processes to meet business requirements
• Designing, developing and testing solutions that meet complex business requirements
• Working with business users to understand requirements
• Working independently and collaboratively with other team members and stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Working on multiple assignments concurrently and meet important target dates

Requirements

• 5 years of experience with SAS Enterprise Guide, visual analytics for data analysis and reporting
• 5 years of experience with data architecture, data integration, data visualization, reporting, and process automation
• 5 years of experience with SAS (programming), R, PL/SQL
• 5 years of experience with Oracle, DB2, MS SQL Server
• 5 years of experience with ETL tools, Business Analytics tools
• 5 years of demonstrated ability to design, develop and test solutions for complex solutions that meet user and agency requirements
• 5 years of development experience using Software Development Life Cycle methodologies
• 5 years of experience communicating verbally and in writing with technical colleagues and business users
• 5 years of experience providing accurate estimates of effort and duration to complete assignments
• 5 years of experience creating documentation to include technical design, flow diagrams, test results and user documentation
• 1 year of experience working with SAS scheduler
• 2 years of experience creating CI/CD pipelines and software build automation in one or more platforms (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline)
• 2 years of experience with GIT version control software and GIT workflows
