About the position

The Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services is seeking a Medicaid SAS Programmer Analyst to develop and implement data conversion strategies, real-time analytics, and reporting solutions for Care Management and Encounter Processing within the Medicaid Enterprise Solution. This role requires expertise in SAS Enterprise Guide and visual analytics to support the department's data needs effectively.

Responsibilities

• Identifying data sources and data elements to meet business requirements
• Creating and supporting automated data extracts and interface processes
• Creating extract files, reports, and analytics dashboards
• Modifying existing processes to meet business requirements
• Designing, developing, and testing solutions that meet complex business requirements
• Working with business users to understand requirements
• Collaborating with team members and stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including external agencies, CMS, VITA, and vendors
• Managing multiple assignments concurrently and meeting important target dates

Requirements
