About the position

The SAS Visualization Developer role at Cornerstone Defense involves evolving software architecture to adapt to changing product requirements, participating in the full development lifecycle, and providing support to internal customers. The position emphasizes collaboration with team members to implement innovative solutions to real-world problems, particularly in the context of SAS Viya 4 platform development.

Responsibilities

• Evolve software architecture to meet changes in product requirements.
• Participate in all steps of the continuous development lifecycle, including design, development, and testing.
• Provide support of the product to internal customers.
• Collaborate with team members to implement innovative approaches to real-world problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 3+ years of experience working on large complex software products as a developer.
• Proficiency in server technologies (Java / Go) and client technologies (React / TypeScript).
• Good experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Demonstrated experience with Agile development practices and tools such as GITLAB.
• Experience with CI/CD and associated tools like Jenkins, Git, Gerrit, Linux commands, etc.
• Experience developing on the SAS Viya 4 platform.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to resolve user questions through independent study and collaborative efforts with team members.
• Platform administration experience with SAS 9 or Viya or similar architecture.
• SAS Certifications.
• Experience with automation development in Python.
• Experience with API development.
• Experience working with cloud technologies (Docker, Kubernetes); Azure / AWS / GCP / OpenShift infrastructure experience.
• Knowledge of file system security.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and networks.
• Familiarity with advanced web technologies including web authentication, DAV, TLS/SSL, web services, and SOAP.
