The SATCOM Field Service Engineer position at Serco in Pearl Harbor, HI, offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects supporting the US Navy. In this role, the engineer will be responsible for developing, planning, coordinating, and conducting System Operational Verification Testing (SOVT). They will also report design, reliability, and maintenance problems to program management, support new system installations, integrations, and upgrades, and establish testing protocols and standards. The engineer will lead tasks, including planning, execution, staff oversight, and status reporting for significant initiatives, while also providing training and guidance to engineers and technicians. The position demands effective interpersonal and communication skills, as the engineer will need to analyze, troubleshoot, and repair SATCOM systems both independently and in team settings. The ability to respond promptly to technical support requests and to travel up to 25% as necessary is also required.
