About the position
Top Dog Services is currently seeking professional contractors, preferably with technical or telecommunications experience, to join our team as HughesNet Specialist Contractors. This position offers a unique opportunity to be hands-on with technology while working independently. Our goal is to provide our contractors with steady work year-round, ensuring that you can focus on your craft without the hassle of searching for your next job. As a contractor, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and repairing satellite internet systems, which involves a variety of tasks that require both technical skills and excellent customer service abilities. In this role, you will enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather, following installation specifications, and maintaining high-quality standards. You will be comfortable working one-on-one with customers to discuss their installation needs and will be willing to upsell products and services as appropriate. Your responsibilities will include installing interior and exterior coaxial cables and ground wires, digging trenches, and replacing or repairing defective parts and equipment to ensure that all systems meet code specifications. Basic hand tool experience is essential, as you will need to meet various physical requirements, including climbing and carrying ladders, accessing small spaces, and lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs. You should also be prepared to squat, kneel, bend, crawl, and stand for long periods of time as part of your daily tasks.
Responsibilities
- Installing satellite internet systems for customers
- Testing and repairing satellite internet systems
- Working closely with customers to understand their installation needs
- Providing professional customer service on a daily basis
