About the position

a.i. solutions, Inc. is seeking a highly-motivated individual to join our team as a Satellite Operations Specialist. This role is pivotal in supporting the operations of experimental satellite systems at Kirtland AFB, NM. The Satellite Operations Specialist will be involved in various aspects of satellite operations, including Concept Exploration, Mission Readiness, and the execution of satellite operations for unique, one-of-a-kind satellite systems. The successful candidate will be expected to embrace the mission of a.i. solutions and work diligently to exceed customer expectations. In this position, you will support system readiness, planning, preparation, execution, and evaluation for satellite launch and early orbit operations, as well as on-orbit operations and end-of-life retirement/disposal. You will analyze activities associated with both ground operational systems and spacecraft operational systems, ensuring that all operations are conducted smoothly and efficiently. Additionally, you will issue commands, directives, and other instructions to fixed, deployable, and mobile tracking stations, playing a crucial role in the operational success of our satellite missions. The Satellite Operations Specialist will also support user and customer interface meetings, exercises, and rehearsals, functioning as a Satellite Vehicle Specialist. This includes performing mission and pre-pass planning, scheduling, data trending and analysis, real-time operations, and spacecraft anomaly resolution. The role requires working a rotating shift schedule, which is essential for maintaining continuous operations and support for our satellite systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support system readiness, planning, preparation, execution and evaluation for satellite launch and early orbit operations, on-orbit operations and end-of-life retirement/disposal.
  • Analyze activities associated with both ground operational systems and spacecraft operational systems.
  • Issue commands, directives and other instructions to fixed, deployable and mobile tracking stations.
  • Support user and customer interface meetings, exercises and rehearsals.
  • Function as a Satellite Vehicle Specialist and support system readiness, planning, preparation, execution and evaluation for satellite launch and early orbit operations, on-orbit operations and end-of-life retirement and disposal.
  • Perform mission and pre-pass planning, scheduling, data trending and analysis, real-time operations, and spacecraft anomaly resolution.
  • Work a rotating shift schedule.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Currently possess an active Secret clearance
  • Associates degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience
