About the position
High Country Lumber and Mulch is seeking a motivated Sawyer to join their manufacturing team. Responsibilities
- Operate head saw and feed carriage to saw logs into boards and/or cants.
- Adhere to safety standards as outlined by High Country Lumber and Mulch.
- Collaborate with team members when needed to ensure efficient operations.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a sawyer preferred.
- Knowledge of sawmills and their operations.
- Commitment to safety in the workplace.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work well with others.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in manufacturing (1 year preferred).
- Ability to commute to North Wilkesboro, NC 28659 (preferred).
- Willingness to relocate to North Wilkesboro, NC 28659 before starting work (preferred).
