About the position

The SBA Closer Commercial Real Estate Admin at U.S. Bank is responsible for reviewing and negotiating Commercial Real Estate (CRE) loan documents while managing a loan portfolio from approval to pay-off or maturity. This role involves collaboration with Relationship Managers and serves as the primary liaison with customers, attorneys, construction consultants, and title company representatives throughout the financing and closing process. The position is available at two levels, each requiring a different range of experience in commercial real estate loan administration.

Responsibilities

  • Review and negotiate Commercial Real Estate loan documents.
  • Manage a loan portfolio from approval to pay-off or maturity.
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers as the primary liaison with customers and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee various complex loan products including construction and term loans.
  • Ensure compliance with bank policies and protect the bank's interests during the loan process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Typically three to five years of experience in commercial real estate loan administration, or at least seven years of transferable experience in commercial loan administration.
  • Ability to meet the requirements to be commissioned as a Notary Public.

Nice-to-haves

  • SBA closing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of title and escrow processes.
  • Experience with E-Tran system.
  • Thorough knowledge of commercial real estate lending, including letters of credit and tax credit transactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to close commercial real estate loans and manage a loan portfolio.
