About the position

The SBA Loan Officer at Commonwealth Business Bank is responsible for underwriting and processing new loan requests while adhering to all bank policies and procedures, as well as complying with state and federal banking regulatory requirements. This includes regulations such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, and others. The officer will ensure that all information related to loan applications is accurate and complete, following all guidelines and regulations throughout the loan process. In this role, the officer will create financial spreadsheets, analyze, structure, and underwrite loans, originating them from application to closing. They will work closely with escrow, title, and all parties involved in the loan process. Additionally, the officer will monitor and report delinquencies, prepare loan compliance reports, and collect financial updates in a timely manner. Conducting site visits and managing relationships with new and existing clients are also key responsibilities. The officer must comply fully with all bank policies and procedures, as well as all regulatory requirements, and complete all required training.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year university.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in SBA lending.
  • Working knowledge of credit analysis.
  • Ability to work on multiple loans simultaneously.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Effective written, verbal, and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
