About the position

The SBA Note Officer at United Business Bank is responsible for the processing, documentation, closing, and servicing of SBA loans. This onsite position requires adherence to bank policies and SBA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) while ensuring accurate and timely loan documentation and servicing. The role involves collaboration with the SBA Note Supervisor and encompasses various functions including loan boarding, disbursement, and maintaining tickler items.

Responsibilities

  • Process and document SBA loans accurately and efficiently.
  • Close and service SBA loans in compliance with bank policies and SBA SOP.
  • Manage loan boarding, disbursement, and payoffs as required.
  • Maintain tickler items and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding items.
  • Assist the SBA Note Supervisor with various tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of experience in banking required.
  • 3-5 years' experience in SBA lending preferred.
  • Moderate to high level of knowledge of loan servicing and documentation preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and word processing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Laser Pro and SBA documents.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
