The SBA Note Officer is an onsite position and does not have remote opportunities. The SBA Note Officer is responsible for processing, documentation, closing, and servicing of SBA loans. This position also encompasses the functions of loan boarding, loan disbursement, payoffs and maintaining tickler items as needed. The SBA Note Officer will primarily be responsible for SBA loan documentation, which includes but is not limited to Laser Pro and SBA documents. The SBA Note Officer will work closely with the SBA Note Supervisor to ensure proper adherence to Bank policy and SBA SOP. This position will perform all duties accurately, timely and efficiently and according to Bank policy, procedures, regulatory guidelines, and SBA SOP. The SBA Note Officer will assist the SBA Note Supervisor as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Process and document SBA loans.
  • Close and service SBA loans.
  • Manage loan boarding and disbursement.
  • Handle payoffs and maintain tickler items as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to Bank policy and SBA SOP.
  • Assist the SBA Note Supervisor as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required or 3+ years of experience in banking.
  • 3-5 years' experience in SBA lending preferred.
  • Moderate to high level of knowledge of loan servicing and documentation preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage workflow and detail oriented.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image.
  • Self-starter, detail-oriented, and mathematically adept.
  • Basic computer skills including the use of Excel, word processing, email, and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to multitask.
