About the position

The SBA & USDA Portfolio Manager/Credit Analyst is a pivotal role responsible for managing and expanding the existing SBA and USDA loan portfolio. This position involves a comprehensive analysis of financial data related to both new and existing loans within the assigned regions. The role requires a strong understanding of credit analysis and the ability to prepare detailed credit memos and Loan Offering Memorandums (LOMs) for SBA loans. The Portfolio Manager will also be tasked with conducting annual reviews and credit analyses on all assigned loans, ensuring that the portfolio remains healthy and compliant with regulatory standards. In addition to the analytical responsibilities, the Portfolio Manager will engage in active communication with borrowers, particularly in situations involving late payments or deficiencies. This includes working on workouts and collections to mitigate risks associated with the loan portfolio. Regular updates to the SBA Watch List and collaboration with the Colson Reporting Agent are also essential duties, ensuring that all loan statuses are accurately reported and monitored. The role demands a proactive approach to growing the current SBA portfolio, which involves reviewing new loan requests and preparing Loan Modification Requests for the loan committee.
