About the position

The SBC Graphic and Multimedia Designer at Stanford Blood Center will lead graphic design projects, executing a medium to high volume of graphic design and multimedia deliverables while adhering to brand guidelines. This role involves creating impactful designs for various platforms, managing multiple projects, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure cohesive messaging and high-quality outputs.

Responsibilities

  • Create impactful and cohesive designs for social media, websites, apps, and digital advertisements.
  • Design print media such as signage, branded merchandise, and document layouts.
  • Develop still and motion graphics for stadium displays and video advertising.
  • Conceptualize and execute designs for diverse campaigns, collaborating closely with stakeholders.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to and elevate the organization's brand guidelines.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and consistent communication.
  • Prepare print-ready files and conduct physical proof checks to guarantee quality in production.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced designers and assist with technical questions.
  • Apply creative problem-solving skills to overcome design challenges and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Liaise with vendors to ensure accurate production and timely delivery of print materials.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in related field or equivalent experience required.
  • 3+ years of graphic design experience, including both digital and print media required.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of projects (digital, print, motion design).
  • Proven experience designing for multi-channel campaigns, ensuring consistency across platforms.
  • Expertise in design software, including Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Canva.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to deliver work on tight schedules.
