About the position

The SBC Multimedia and Graphic Designer at Stanford Blood Center will lead graphic design projects, producing a high volume of multimedia deliverables while adhering to brand guidelines. This role is integral to the Marketing and Communications team, focusing on creating impactful designs across various platforms to elevate the organization's visual identity and messaging.

Responsibilities

  • Create impactful and cohesive designs for social media, websites, apps, and digital advertisements.
  • Design print media such as signage, branded merchandise, and document layouts.
  • Develop still and motion graphics for stadium displays and video advertising.
  • Conceptualize and execute designs for diverse campaigns, collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a cohesive visual identity.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced designers and assist with technical questions.
  • Prepare print-ready files and conduct quality checks to ensure high production standards.
  • Liaise with vendors for accurate production and timely delivery of materials.
  • Identify and implement efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities in design processes.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in a related field or equivalent experience required.
  • 3+ years of graphic design experience, including digital and print media.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of projects (digital, print, motion design).
  • Experience with design software including Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Canva.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Nonprofit/healthcare experience is a plus.
