About the position

The City of Corona has an exciting opportunity to join our Utilities Department as a SCADA Engineer. At Corona's Utilities Department, we strive to deliver the best customer service to all of our residents and businesses, with safety and reliability as our top priorities. The Utilities Department is comprised of five divisions including Water, Wastewater, Reclaimed Water, Electric and Solid Waste. We provide a 4/10 work schedule (Mon-Thu) for most positions and rotating schedules for operations staff. Responsibilities

  • Provide professional level support to Utilities Department's SCADA systems and devices.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, analyze, and resolve complex SCADA system issues.
  • Develop and document process workflows, SCADA system specifications, and models.
  • Use modern, state-of-the-art precision and diagnostic instruments to test, calibrate, and repair complex electrical and electronic devices and equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in computer science, information systems, electrical engineering.
  • Five years of increasingly responsible experience providing professional support to a SCADA technology system.
