About the position

The City of Rochester is hiring SCADA Engineers. These positions are responsible for providing technical engineering management of the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems utilized by the electric and water utilities, interfacing with Operations and Technical Support Staff. Primary emphasis of this position includes implementation and modification of SCADA systems and supporting applications to ensure proper operational performance, security, and NERC Compliance through proper documentation for SCADA architecture, processes and system changes. Must have proof of legal authority to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering management of SCADA systems for electric and water utilities.
• Interface with Operations and Technical Support Staff.
• Implement and modify SCADA systems and supporting applications.
• Ensure proper operational performance and security of SCADA systems.
• Maintain NERC Compliance through proper documentation of SCADA architecture, processes, and system changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a SCADA Engineer or Electrical Substation Engineer or similar occupation maintaining or deploying SCADA systems for an electrical utility.
