About the position

The SCADA Programmer Analyst at Fluxtek Solutions is responsible for delivering software and hardware solutions for upstream unconventional field production assets. This role involves active collaboration with engineers and developers to enhance SCADA systems, ensuring effective data management and operational support. The position requires participation in all aspects of SCADA engineering, including planning, development, testing, and ongoing support, with a focus on continuous learning and application of industry best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers, data managers, and software developers to define, build, and deliver solutions for upstream unconventional business problems.
  • Architect, implement, deploy, and support SCADA systems like Wonderware and Ignition.
  • Learn and share software industry best practices with team members.
  • Work with production and facilities teams to integrate well site data and field automation into SCADA systems for alarm historizing/trending and display.
  • Support, maintain, and develop SCADA systems utilizing corporate-driven standard solutions.
  • Interface with various customer and support elements including automation, measurement, engineering, production, operations, and plant support.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience developing, deploying, and supporting SCADA systems in an automation control system.
  • Proficiency in SCADA platforms such as Wonderware, Ignition, AutoSol (ACM), or XSPOC.
  • Proficiency in Firewall platforms like Cisco ASA, Cisco FTD, Palo Alto, or Eagle One.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with software developers and domain experts.
  • Excellent interpersonal/customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of building, deploying, and supporting Ignition screens using Python.
  • Prior work experience in the upstream oil and gas industry.
  • Experience with large scale data management systems.
  • Experience working on teams following Agile software development methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of AutoSol (ACM), ACP ThinManager, Win911, and Ignition.
