About the position

As the Housing Operations Facility Coordinator at SCAD, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment within our residential communities. This position requires you to manage and resolve maintenance issues promptly, ensuring that all facilities are in optimal condition for our residents. You will also participate in an on-call rotation to address after-hours emergency issues, demonstrating your commitment to the safety and well-being of our students. In this role, you will act as a vital liaison between SCADhome housing operations and physical resources, facilitating effective communication and collaboration. You will work closely with student employees to conduct health and safety inspections, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Additionally, you will support the opening, closing, and room change processes each quarter, ensuring a smooth transition for all residents. Your primary objective will be to provide exceptional customer service while overseeing a facility portfolio that includes at least three residential complexes on a daily basis. You will be responsible for securing oversight of master building and other facility access cards, serving as a point of contact for residential students regarding their needs and concerns. Your responsibilities will also include diagnosing and performing minor and routine maintenance tasks, enforcing the Housing License Agreement, and managing facility data using the StarRez platform. You will coordinate small facility projects and oversee regular quality inspections, such as fire drills, to ensure the safety and preparedness of our residential communities. Furthermore, you will provide ancillary facilities-specific services, such as building access accommodations for events, and offer guidance, training, and development to staff regarding housing operations processes. Your insights and recommendations to the Director of Housing Operations will be invaluable in identifying opportunities for improvements and innovations in residence life and housing.

Requirements
