About the position
The Scaffold Builder - Leadman will supervise the construction, assembly, maintenance, and dismantling of tubular scaffolding and other temporary structures. This role involves ensuring safety compliance, instructing team members on scaffold installation, and overseeing the transport and erection of scaffolding materials.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the construction, assembly, maintenance, and dismantling of tubular scaffolding.
- Determine the type of scaffold needed and instruct on proper installation.
- Oversee the transport of tubular scaffold and erect it as instructed.
- Hoist scaffolding materials to erect temporary structures.
- Secure and level locking sections of scaffolding material properly.
- Secure scaffold to permanent structures for added stability.
- Adhere to OSHA, site-specific, and Austin Industrial requirements for scaffolding.
- Supervise the dismantling of scaffolding when communicated to do so.
- Inspect and stow scaffolding material after dismantling.
- Perform final inspections of completed scaffolding.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.
