About the position
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Scaffold Builder to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the assembly, installation, and dismantling of scaffolding structures to support various construction activities. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The Scaffold Builder will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and erect scaffolding structures according to project specifications and safety standards.
- Inspect scaffolding for stability and safety compliance before use.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure seamless workflow on-site.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment to fabricate scaffolding components as needed.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on scaffolding materials and tools.
- Assist in the installation of other construction elements such as stucco, masonry, and plaster when required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety.
Requirements
- Proven experience in scaffold building or related construction fields.
- Familiarity with various construction techniques including door hanging, electrical work, and masonry.
- Ability to read schematics and follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Proficient in using hand tools and equipment necessary for scaffold assembly.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in construction environments.
- Ability to plumb structures accurately to ensure stability.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials.
