About the position

The main purpose of this position is to supervise and coordinate scaffolding operations, including labor and equipment associated with the scaffolding department. The role involves oversight of inventory control, ensuring team members execute standard inventory transactions properly, and sourcing materials for job sites. Responsibilities also include managing rental requirements, reviewing rental invoices, and overseeing offsite scaffolding supervisors. The position requires proficiency in estimating scaffolding projects, preparing estimates from drawings and site visits, and developing project work schedules. Additionally, the role involves interviewing, hiring, and managing staff, ensuring safe working conditions, and maintaining good relationships with clients and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of Inventory Control
  • Ensure proper sourcing of materials and coordinate transportation to job sites
  • Oversite for timely processing of returns counts and damage assessments
  • Oversite of rental requirements and assurance that rentals are properly maintained and returned on time
  • Review and preliminary approval of rental invoices
  • Manage intercompany and customer freight as required
  • Oversite and Management of all offsite scaffolding supervisors
  • Proficient in estimating scaffolding projects
  • Prepare estimates from drawings and site visits
  • Development of man-power requirements to commence and complete the project
  • Develop project work schedule and duration
  • Interviewing, hiring, and managing staff
  • Deployment of operational resources to meet customer and company requirements
  • Manage maintenance of company facilities and equipment
  • Ensuring projects are completed safely and on schedule
  • Identifying training and development opportunities for staff
  • Liaising with clients, surveyors, and subcontractor project managers
  • Maintain proper record keeping
  • Oversite of safe working conditions
  • Ensure proper PPE use by employees and visitors
  • Support execution of safety programs and ensure compliance with HSES policies
  • Manage the company's training matrix

Requirements

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • BS in Business Management or a minimum of 12 years of Management level related working experience or equivalent
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding and reasoning ability
  • Efficient and competent with computer programs, especially Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Proactive Leadership skills, managing and motivating staff
  • Ability to work with changing/conflicting deadlines
