About the position

The Scaffolding Operations Manager is responsible for supervising and coordinating all scaffolding operations, including labor and equipment management. This role ensures effective inventory control, timely processing of materials, and compliance with safety standards while overseeing the performance of offsite scaffolding supervisors and maintaining client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate scaffolding operations, including labor and equipment.
• Oversee inventory control and ensure proper execution of inventory transactions.
• Coordinate the sourcing and transportation of materials to job sites.
• Manage rental requirements and ensure timely processing of returns and damage assessments.
• Review and approve rental invoices and manage intercompany and customer freight.
• Oversee offsite scaffolding supervisors and ensure project completion on schedule.
• Conduct interviews, hire staff, and evaluate talent.
• Plan, assign, and direct work while appraising performance and addressing complaints.
• Manage maintenance of company facilities and equipment.
• Identify training and development opportunities for staff.
• Maintain good working relationships with clients and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with safety programs and proper use of PPE.
• Manage the company's training matrix and ensure certifications are up to date.

Requirements

• Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must pass a background check.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• BS in Business Management or 12 years of management-level experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Proficient in basic math and able to compute rates and ratios.
• Proficient with computer programs, especially Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Proactive leadership skills and ability to motivate staff.
• Ability to work with changing deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in scaffolding operations or construction management.
• Familiarity with safety regulations in industrial environments.
