About the position

The Part-Time Scale-House Attendant at Cowart's Green Recycling Center is an entry-level position focused on clerical and operational duties related to the recycling process. The role involves operating weigh scales, data entry, cashier duties, and record-keeping, while ensuring efficient vehicle management at the facility. The position requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently and collaboratively under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Operating the weigh scales and scale computer software programs.
• Performing data entry and cashier duties.
• Screening and recording incoming loads at the scale house.
• Directing vehicles entering and leaving the facility.
• Processing invoices for incoming material trucks and trailers and collecting payment.
• Creating invoices for mulch purchases and collecting payment.
• Reporting end-of-day cash reconciliation and submitting daily paperwork to the main office.
• Reporting packing slips that are still on the board and not signed by drivers daily.
• Supporting the credit department with payment or credit resolutions.
• Communicating trends that impact the business to management.
• Keeping the office area clean.
• Performing other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of verifiable related experience.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent work experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, with Great Plains Dynamics GP being a plus.
• Ability to pass a drug and background screening.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, including strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently while maintaining attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Microsoft Dynamics GP.
• Bilingual in Spanish.
