About The Position

The Scalehouse Attendant at Waste Management serves as the first point of contact for customers depositing waste at a facility. This role involves calculating payments, checking loads for safety, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations to protect both customers and employees.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D (accredited) is required.
• No prior work experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and directs traffic at the facility.
• Calculates payments accurately for customers.
• Ensures incoming garbage loads are safe and free of inappropriate materials.
• Monitors safety compliance for customers and employees, ensuring the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Maintains general upkeep of the Scale House.
• Completes administrative tasks including filing and required reports.
• Keeps the immediate supervisor informed of any issues or concerns.
• Attends company-sponsored training and meetings as required.
• Works overtime as needed.
• Performs additional duties such as data entry and minor customer service tasks.
