About the position

The Scaler Lead serves as the primary point of contact for all Scalehouse business, ensuring the accurate scaling of logs, OSB, by-products, and other materials. This role is crucial for maintaining documentation and security at the mill, as well as managing communication effectively. The position involves overseeing the weekly schedule for Scalers and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the point of contact for all Scalehouse business for the Resource Manager.
• Scale logs, OSB, by-products, and other materials for documentation.
• Maintain security for the mill.
• Transfer phone calls as necessary.
• Responsible for the weekly schedule for the Scalers.
• Provide safety spreadsheets, trainings, and reports for the mill as needed.
• Perform all Scaler duties and other necessary tasks in accordance with safety rules and regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• 3 - 5 years' experience in operation or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Time management and multi-tasking skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.
