As a Scheduler for Flight Training at American Airlines, you will play a crucial role in the planning, scheduling, and administration of Ground School and Simulator Training for all line, Supervisory, and Management pilots. This position is part of the Flight Training Team within the Integrated Operations Division, where you will ensure that all training complies with Company and Federal Regulations. Your responsibilities will include managing the daily schedules for pilots and Instructor/Evaluators, scheduling training classrooms and devices, and monitoring pilot currency and qualifications. You will also coordinate with FAA personnel for simulator observations and training, ensuring that all training events are conducted in a productive and cost-effective manner. In this role, you will be responsible for updating training schedules, qualifications, and other data into various databases and programs, such as Maarfle, TMS, and FOS. You will lead the daily operations of pilot qualifications, monitor and administer currency for line pilots, and ensure adequate coverage for Check Airmen schedules. Additionally, you may be required to cover shifts in Flight Standards after appropriate training. The position requires flexibility, as you will need to work weekends and holidays as necessary.
