The Dental Scheduler at Lakewood Family Dental plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient operations within the dental call center. This position focuses on providing exceptional customer service, managing patient appointments, and supporting the dental team in delivering high-quality care. The role emphasizes collaboration, adherence to healthcare regulations, and maintaining a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Answer phones within a timely manner
- Enter patient information and appointments into the system
- Reach out to dental locations to coordinate schedules
- Audit lists and reports to ensure operations run smoothly
- Collaborate with a team to ensure tasks are being done effectively and accurately
- Report to Office Manager twice a day with goals and progress reports
- Engage in team meetings and events
- Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA policies and procedures
- Work alongside Associate Dentist to build and expand business efforts
Requirements
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Customer service experience
- Call center experience
- Medical office experience
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Familiarity with Dentrix dental software
- Understanding of medical terminology
