About the position

The Scheduler for Heart & Vascular at McLaren Central Michigan is responsible for coordinating exams, procedures, and tests for patients while ensuring high-quality customer service. This role involves handling patient inquiries, verifying insurance information, and maintaining accurate patient records to facilitate smooth operations within the healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Set up exams, procedures, and tests for patients.
• Handle customer service inquiries related to scheduling.
• Deliver quality customer service by answering incoming phone calls and contacting patients to schedule appropriate exams/tests/procedures.
• Review screening forms and verify patient and insurance information for accuracy.
• Educate patients on exam/test/procedure preparation and answer related questions.
• Update patient records with necessary notes for technologists and future reference.
• Follow site-specific protocols and maintain up-to-date protocol documentation.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior scheduling experience.
• Two years of experience, preferably in health care.
