About the position

MacDonald-Bedford LLC is seeking an experienced Scheduler to provide professional consulting services for complex, long-term construction projects. The Scheduler will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, analyzing contractor schedules, and ensuring effective communication with project stakeholders. This role requires a strong background in construction management and scheduling software, particularly Primavera and Microsoft Project, to support various construction projects ranging from $5M to $400M.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for construction projects.
  • Review and analyze construction contractor's schedules and progress reports.
  • Perform monthly projections of Construction Work in Place (WIP) and enter them into the Construction Management System.
  • Provide recommendations for corrective actions when projects deviate from the schedule.
  • Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to identify potential conflicts or delays.
  • Prepare detailed reports on schedule logic, sequencing, and durations for contractor schedules.
  • Conduct Independent Time Impact Analyses for change order negotiations.
  • Update the IMS weekly and develop multiple scenarios for optimal scheduling.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to travel with a passport.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years' experience using Primavera P5/6 and five (5) years' experience with Microsoft Project 2010+ on construction projects valued at $3-5M.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Architectural/Engineering principles and construction practices for at least five (5) years.
  • Experience generating and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules for large construction programs for at least five (5) years.
  • At least one (1) year of specialized experience in Capital Improvements related projects for private projects, NAVFAC, or Corps of Engineers.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both orally and in writing, with experience in preparing reports and briefings.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CostWorks, Success Estimator, and other scheduling software.
