This position is responsible for maintaining scheduling module dictionaries and ensuring that patients' insurance benefits are verified prior to their scheduled procedures. The coordinator also collaborates with the ordering physician's office for pre-certification when necessary, ensuring a smooth scheduling process for patients.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Centralized Scheduling Module within the hospital's mainframe system.
• Maintain scheduling module dictionaries.
• Verify patient's insurance benefits to ensure coverage prior to scheduled procedures.
• Coordinate with the ordering physician's office for pre-certification when required.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills and accurate typing skills required.
• Previous medical office and pre-certification experience highly preferred.
