In this role, the Scheduler will maintain the schedule for services requested and provided to agency clients, ensuring that all cases are filled within established time frames. This includes completing necessary documentation, whether in paper or automated systems, and providing appropriate notifications regarding schedules to employees, clients, contract agencies, supervisors, and other relevant parties. The Scheduler will also monitor overtime and mileage records of employees, respond to emergency calls, and arrange schedules accordingly to meet client needs. Additionally, the Scheduler will provide direction to direct care employees, ensuring that they receive complete and accurate information about client needs as directed by licensed professional staff. The role requires reporting any scheduling changes or client concerns to the supervisor and notifying clients of changes while monitoring employee performance in areas such as dependability and responsiveness. The Scheduler will participate in the evaluation and performance review of field staff, verify time records against schedules, and follow up on any scheduling problems encountered by on-call staff. Furthermore, the Scheduler will be involved in determining hiring needs, maintaining adequate numbers of available on-call staff, and collaborating with nursing and marketing staff to anticipate coverage needs for new clients. The position also emphasizes the importance of confidentiality, requiring the Scheduler to respect the confidentiality of client and employee records and to share information in accordance with agency policy. Compliance with applicable state, federal, CHAP, and Joint Commission standards is essential, and the Scheduler is expected to attend meetings and educational programs as required, accepting responsibility for personal and professional development while participating in ongoing quality improvement activities.
