About the position

The Corporate Scheduler at Actalent is responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, resource planning, and reporting to both internal teams and customers. This role ensures compliance with project timelines, budgets, and specifications while addressing client needs. The Scheduler collaborates with project managers and department heads to deliver successful projects on time and within budget, requiring minimal supervision and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules and reports needed by the project and leadership teams.
  • Work directly with project management teams to monitor and update schedules regularly.
  • Assist in planning and resource allocation efforts of project teams and the company.
  • Assist the sales and estimating team for resource planning and pricing.
  • Work with PM teams and subcontractors on project schedule development and updates.
  • Establish schedule templates and work instructions.
  • Run and coordinate regular project status meetings both internally and with the customer.
  • Assist in negotiation of change orders and contracts regarding schedules.
  • Develop and implement the best tools and practices for project scheduling using the latest industry technologies.
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with the project team.
  • Develop and maintain a cooperative relationship with the client to promote common interests and foster mutual respect.
  • Conduct meetings with customers as needed, including taking meeting minutes.
  • Ensure customer deliverables such as schedule updates are provided as required.
  • Travel to project sites as needed.
  • Identify critical issues in schedules and assist in the development of improvement procedures.
  • Provide project status reports.
  • Work with project managers and field teams for weekly progress updates.
  • Resolve open issues with the project team and customer.

Requirements

  • Ability to travel and work on project sites throughout the US.
  • Self-starter with proven organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in developing detailed schedules in Microsoft Project and other scheduling software.
  • Ability to incorporate progress tracking, resource loading, and critical path analysis into schedules.
  • Ability to develop corporate summary schedules for review by the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
  • Ability to analyze progress and determine issues in the schedule in a timely manner.
