About the position

The Scheduling Coordinator & Data Analyst I plays a crucial role in supporting the Office of the Registrar at Wright State University by ensuring data integrity, compliance reporting, and process improvement. This position involves analyzing data from various sources to produce reports, assisting in the development of the academic class schedule, and providing guidance on scheduling policies and procedures. The role requires a high level of attention to detail and proficiency in using technology related to academic scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, design, validate, and maintain reports for Federal, external, and internal use from the Office of the Registrar.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and university regulations by serving as a subject matter expert.
  • Provide analytical support to university offices regarding state subsidy and tuition billing.
  • Define data standards and maintain the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of student data across the university.
  • Develop queries and reports to extract and analyze data from enterprise systems.
  • Serve as the system administrator for Astra Schedule and manage the scheduling production cycle.
  • Audit class schedule and classroom data to maintain data integrity and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with curriculum-related processes and ensure accurate maintenance of course and program information.
  • Support the production of the Schedule of Classes through problem resolution and data analysis.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of process documentation for scheduling procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • Proficient in using current reporting tools, spreadsheet applications, and relational database applications.
  • Ability to develop technical skills specific to the technical environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute detailed processes and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated diplomacy in problem resolution.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree.
  • At least 1 year working in a higher education environment.
  • Experience with integrated student information systems (Ellucian Banner or similar).
  • Experience working with large data sources and complex queries.
  • Knowledge of Ad Astra scheduling software.
  • Experience with HEI reporting and compliance reporting.
