We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Scheduling Coordinator to become a part of our Technical Operations Department at FOX News Media. This role involves managing our daily scheduling processes across the department, which requires close collaboration with colleagues, staff, freelancers, and management. The Scheduling Coordinator's primary responsibility will be to organize and arrange assignments for technical staff working on various Fox News Media networks and shows, ensuring continuous operation in our 24/7 news cycle. This individual will serve as a vital communication link among operations supervisors, technical managers, producers, and the broader staff to ensure seamless technical support for all Fox News Media network broadcasts. The Scheduling Coordinator will be responsible for organizing the schedule for technical operators, including both staff and freelancers. This includes facilitating the coordination of tech operations time off requests using WorkDay and Advance Booking Calendars, handling sick calls from technical operations staff, and arranging cover for their shifts. The role requires close collaboration with tech managers and supervisors to communicate daily crewing needs and keep producers informed of any changes in the daily work schedules. Additionally, the Scheduling Coordinator will work with the scheduling manager to fill open shifts and adjust to new programming changes, manage daily production requests for pre-taped content, rehearsals, and program location changes using internal systems, and act promptly to scheduling needs during breaking news events. The position also involves keeping the Xytech/Mediapulse scheduling system current by applying software updates and being available for occasional on-call responsibilities to address urgent needs outside of regular hours. The Scheduling Coordinator may also carry out additional special projects or duties as assigned, making this a dynamic and engaging role within the Technical Operations Department.
