About the position
The Scheduling Coordinator at The Citadel of Wilmette is responsible for managing staff schedules to ensure that appropriately licensed and certified employees are available to meet the needs of the facility. This role involves preparing and maintaining daily and monthly schedules, identifying staffing needs, and collaborating with various departments to ensure effective staffing and training.
Responsibilities
- Understand the scheduling system and manage shifts to align staff support hours.
- Meet with HR designee, Administrator, and Director of Nursing to review staffing patterns and requirements.
- Develop, implement, and coordinate daily scheduling and assignments of nursing staff according to management and staffing requirements.
- Maintain records of in-servicing for all staff and schedule required training in partnership with HR and training departments.
- Monitor labor hours to ensure they do not exceed budgeted work hours.
- Track absences and reasons for absences for infection control purposes.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of experience with Point Click Care (PCC), preferred.
- Bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferred.
- Prior experience working with the elderly and/or in long-term care, preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Sufficient computer and budgeting skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in long-term care settings.
- Knowledge of financial modules related to patient care.
