About the position

The Scheduling/Payroll Specialist at Carter BloodCare plays a crucial role in the efficient management of scheduling and payroll for Mobile Collections and other departments assigned to Centralized Scheduling. Under the direction of the Coordinator or designee, this position is responsible for assisting in the scheduling and payroll processes, ensuring that all staffing and scheduling guidelines are adhered to. The specialist must be adept at handling multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing assignments effectively, and managing a high volume of telephone calls from collection staff. This role requires prudent decision-making skills with minimal supervisory intervention, emphasizing the importance of independence and initiative in daily operations. In addition to scheduling responsibilities, the incumbent will enter payroll data for all mobile collection staff and any other departments assigned to Centralized Scheduling. Timeliness and accuracy in payroll processing are critical to ensure that all staff are compensated correctly and on time. The Scheduling/Payroll Specialist will also be responsible for reassigning staff as needed to ensure that each collection site is adequately staffed to meet production goals. Regular full-time attendance during business hours is required, and the specialist may be scheduled for overtime or float to various areas within the department as needed. The role also involves assisting the Coordinator/designee in identifying scheduling and staffing issues and maintaining up-to-date records of all drive changes and updates.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in scheduling and payroll for Mobile Collections and other departments assigned to Centralized Scheduling.
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize assignments appropriately.
  • Manage numerous telephone calls from collection staff and make prudent decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Enter payroll for all mobile collection staff in a timely manner.
  • Reassign staff as needed to ensure adequate resources at collection sites.
  • Maintain regular full-time attendance during business hours and may be scheduled for overtime.
  • Assist the Coordinator/designee in identifying scheduling and staffing problems.
  • Maintain all drive changes and updates.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Education or GED.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Some type of scheduling experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Good written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Ability to manage a complex scheduling system.
  • Good telephone etiquette.
