About the position

The Scheduling/Staffing Coordinator at Pomeroy Living Northville is responsible for ensuring appropriate staffing levels within the care department of the senior living community. This full-time role involves managing schedules, assisting with payroll and recruitment, and monitoring employee attendance to maintain operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Complete the schedule with the allocated amount of advance notice.
  • Monitor daily staffing levels and communicate any areas of concern.
  • Ensure that the staffing sheets are completed and maintained per the facility documentation retention policy.
  • Recruit and onboard care team members.
  • Monitor employee attendance and prepare reports.
  • Serve as backup for human resource functions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of High School Diploma; Associate degree or some business courses preferred.
  • Prior caregiving experience (preferred).
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Good communication skills.
  • OnShift Scheduling Experience (preferred).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in scheduling (1 year preferred).
  • Experience in health care (1 year preferred).
  • Experience in recruiting (1 year preferred).
