About the position

Reasons to Believe is an international, outreach-oriented, science apologetics ministry dedicated to spreading the Christian gospel by demonstrating that sound reason and scientific research support confidence in the truth of the Bible. We are seeking a full-time Scholar Community Program Coordinator to provide essential administrative support to the Scholar Community Program Department. This role is pivotal in helping to carry out the objectives of the Scholar Community, Apologetics Community, and Visiting Scholar Program. These programs are designed to equip and platform scientists, theologians, physicians, philosophers, lay-apologists, and other professionals to explore the connections between science and the Christian faith, ultimately opening hearts to the gospel. The Scholar Community Program Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the smooth operation of these programs. This includes scheduling and maintaining the Visiting Scholar (VS) master calendar, coordinating logistics for visiting scholars, and overseeing the maintenance of the VS townhome. The coordinator will also manage databases to track program activities, assist in recruitment efforts, and coordinate onboarding processes for new members of the Scholar Community and Apologetics Community. Additionally, the coordinator will be involved in crafting marketing communications, scheduling webinars, and managing web pages and bios for the programs. This position requires a proactive individual with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse academic backgrounds. The ideal candidate will be a committed Christian who aligns with the mission and values of Reasons to Believe, and who is eager to contribute to the growth and success of the Scholar Community and Apologetics Community programs.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and maintain the Visiting Scholar master calendar according to yearly goals.
  • Maintain a database to track Visiting Scholar program activities.
  • Coordinate logistics surrounding the scholar's visit, including planning meetings and itineraries.
  • Oversee maintenance and improvement of the Visiting Scholar townhome.
  • Organize and maintain the Visiting Scholar office environment.
  • Manage Visiting Scholar web pages and bios.
  • Serve as a logistical liaison during a Visiting Scholar visit.
  • Maintain databases to track Scholar Community and Apologetics Community program activity.
  • Assist in recruiting efforts for the Scholar Community and Apologetics Community.
  • Coordinate onboarding efforts for new members of the Scholar Community and Apologetics Community.
  • Schedule and coordinate Scholar Community and Apologetics Community calls over Zoom.
  • Schedule and coordinate webinars for the Scholar Community and Apologetics Community.
  • Craft and send regular marketing communications to the Scholar Community and Apologetics Community.
  • Assist in the development of new resources as programs grow.
  • Update member information regularly and incorporate data from the annual ministry report.
  • Prepare summaries about new members and distribute them to communities and staff monthly.
  • Collect and disseminate testimonials to the appropriate staff members.
  • Manage Scholar Community web page and bios.
  • Manage Apologetics Community microsites.
  • Reconcile receipts related to Visiting Scholar reimbursements.
  • Assist the scholar department with special projects and assignments as needed.
