The Scholarship Applications Manager at Great Jobs KC is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the entire scholarship application process. This includes ensuring effective administration, compliance, and the awarding of scholarships to eligible candidates. The manager will coordinate with both internal and external partners to facilitate access to the KC Scholarships and other financial aid opportunities, enhancing outreach efforts to ensure a diverse pool of applicants. The position requires maintaining accurate records of scholarship activities and implementing checks and validations to ensure data accuracy in Salesforce. The manager will also be responsible for creating reports and dashboards that support data-driven decision-making. In addition to managing the scholarship application process, the Scholarship Applications Manager will work towards increasing the number of applications submitted and awarded scholarships, particularly focusing on underrepresented groups. This includes conducting application workshops, preparing and distributing scholarship award notifications, and ensuring a fair evaluation process through feedback collection. The role also involves collaborating with IT to create data dashboards for monitoring application submissions and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and guidelines. The manager will continuously assess the effectiveness of the scholarship supports and processes, making necessary adjustments to keep pace with program scaling and future growth opportunities. They will oversee the online scholarship portal, track the status of current awardees, and prepare for the next application cycle. Building relationships with high schools and postsecondary network partners is essential for effective communication and sharing of best practices. The role also includes recruiting, training, and managing community volunteer scholarship reviewers, representing KC Scholars in the community, and fostering a strong team through hiring and professional development.
