About the position

The School Age Care Team Leader at Pathways for Children, Inc. is responsible for nurturing young children and supporting families through educational and enriching programs. This role involves planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for children aged 5-12, ensuring compliance with Individualized Education Plans (IEP), and fostering a positive and safe environment for both children and parents. The position requires collaboration with team members and participation in off-site field trips, all while embodying the organization's core values of respect, trust, collaboration, and opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a daily program of developmentally appropriate activities.
• Ensure compliance with Individualized Education Plans (IEP).
• Work as part of a team, supporting one another and communicating effectively.
• Create a positive, safe and supportive environment for children and engage positively with parents.
• Participate in planning and attending off-site field trips.
• Identify new activities to keep students engaged and always learning.
• Display a positive and supportive attitude toward students and peers.
• Maintain a classroom environment that is supportive, clean and safe at all times.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of documented experience working with school age children.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the role.
• Must comply with all state and federal requirements.
• Must complete and satisfy background check protocols.
