About the position

The School Age Childcare Site Director at South Sound YMCA is responsible for planning, directing, and supervising activities at assigned SACC locations. This role supports the YMCA's mission of strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Site Director ensures a safe and healthy environment for children while maintaining compliance with state regulations and YMCA standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and volunteers to provide a safe and healthy environment and quality program.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with children, parents/guardians, and other YMCA staff.
• Ensure program operations and facility compliance with state licensing regulations and YMCA requirements.
• Report any problems to the assigned Program Director immediately.
• Complete and submit required paperwork by deadlines.
• Attend required trainings and staff meetings.
• Follow guidelines of the policy manual and licensing standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the site and facilities.
• Keep accurate time and attendance records through the Paycom system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Completed 30 credit hours of college-level educationally related coursework or equivalent as determined by state licensor.
• At least two years of experience working with children or volunteers.
• Meet and maintain training standards set by STARs for Washington state, including completion of 35-hour basic training and 10 additional yearly hours.
• Possess a reliable vehicle, approvable driving record, and proof of current car insurance.
• Complete background check forms, proof of current TB test, and MMR record prior to the first day of working with children.
• Documentation of First Aid, CPR, and HIV/AIDS training completed within 30 days of hire.
• New Employee Orientation completed within 45 days of hire.
