About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Aide to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and enhancing the learning environment for students. Responsibilities

• Relieve teachers of school activities which do not require teaching or other professional skills.
• Handle, store, and distribute textbooks, instructional supplies, and special materials.
• Assist with clerical work of a routine nature.
• Maintain order in the lunchroom and facilitate lunch service.
• Maintain school inventories.
• Check reports, notes, library lists, etc.
• Handle the arrival and departure of children transported to school by bus.
• Receive children in the lunchroom, direct them in washing, disposal of wraps, and lining up for lunch service.
• Facilitate the service of lunch to young children and assist older children in obtaining lunch.
• Oversee the return of dishes and utensils and the disposal of refuse.
• Perform additional duties as requested by teachers or principals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Excellent record of attendance and punctuality.
• Demonstrated ability to work with supervisors and other school-based staff.
• Demonstrated history of good human relations.
• Demonstrated ability to efficiently carry out assignments.
