About the position

The School Based Behavioral Health Center Clinical Lead at Fair Haven Community Health Care (FHCHC) is responsible for overseeing the clinical services provided at school-based behavioral health centers. This role involves managing the daily clinical operations, supervising school-based clinicians, and ensuring that services align with FHCHC's mission of providing equitable, high-quality, patient-centered care. The Clinical Lead plays a crucial role in integrating services, maintaining compliance with clinical standards, and fostering collaboration among the treatment team.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises daily activities of the clinical team at school-based behavioral health centers.
  • Monitors and oversees admissions and discharges into services, ensuring appropriate utilization of clinical team services.
  • Runs weekly group supervision for school-based behavioral health clinicians.
  • Offers iterative feedback and yearly clinical evaluations to school-based behavioral health clinicians.
  • Manages staff schedules for optimal utilization and ensures clinical coverage across sites.
  • Conducts chart audits to ensure compliance with third-party payer requirements and clinical goals.
  • Provides ongoing quality client care and ensures appropriateness of services.
  • Assists in the development and revision of program services and policies.
  • Oversees implementation of new services offered through the program.
  • Integrates school-based services with other FHCHC programs and external providers.
  • Reviews treatment plans and case records to ensure compliance with established policies.
  • Provides individual supervision to clinical team members as needed.
  • Demonstrates advanced competencies in Integrated Mental Health and Dual Disorders Treatment.
  • Assists in interviewing and hiring new staff as needed.
  • Ensures appropriate staff education relevant to service provision.
  • Provides back-up for intakes and groups as needed.
  • Completes e-requestor tasks as requested by clinical staff.
  • Evaluates clinical staff performance and assists in improvement where needed.
  • Reports operational and clinical quality data to leadership and participates in quality improvement efforts.
  • Provides community education and outreach as needed.
  • Continually evaluates and improves the program based on expected results.
  • Fosters collaboration within the treatment team and among departments.
  • Meets program productivity standards.
  • May require use of personal vehicle for company business.
  • Attends training sessions and workshops as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in health and human services field.
  • Five years' experience in a psychiatric or substance abuse setting.
  • Minimum of one year supervisory/managerial experience strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications and electronic health records.
  • Current Connecticut professional licensure: LCSW, LMFT, LPC, Psy.D., Ph.D.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
