About the position

The Bilingual Mental Health Clinician will provide onsite mental health therapy and support to students in various New Jersey school programs. This role focuses on adolescent and child patients, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, drug addiction, and suicide prevention. The clinician will collaborate with school staff and other therapists to enhance the mental health support available to students.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite mental health therapy to students in local NJ school programs.
• Address adolescent and child behavioral health issues, including anxiety, depression, and drug addiction.
• Document crisis reports and coordinate with parents regarding student care.
• Collaborate with school faculty and other therapists to support student mental health needs.
• Present the impact of additional therapy support to school stakeholders.

Requirements

• 1-3+ years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Master's Degree in a mental health-related field.
• Experience with adolescent and child-based behavioral health therapy.
• Knowledge of anxiety and depression disorders, drug addiction, and suicide prevention therapy.
• Ability to document crisis reports effectively.
• Strong teamwork skills to work with other therapists and school faculty members.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Nice-to-haves
